See a doctor on weekends and after hours.
Illness does not respect office hours, or a working week. Medicus consults on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 and on weekends, so you can see a doctor by video when most practices have locked their doors.

The honest picture
When you can actually book.
Medicus does not promise a doctor on demand at 2am, and will not pretend to. Consultations run on weekdays between 09:00 and 17:00, with weekend slots too: Saturday mornings as a rule, and Sunday times when the calendar opens them. Weekend slots book exactly like any other, at the same R300, on the same booking page.
For most people, Saturday morning is the after-hours that matters: the sore throat that got worse through the week, the sick note needed before Monday, the script that ran out on Friday night. All of it can be handled from home while the local clinic is closed.
Evening slots are not currently scheduled, but the calendar follows demand. If you cannot find a time that works, email hello@medicusforme.co.za; enough of those emails is exactly what opens evening availability.
Weekend care
What weekend consults handle well.
Illness that will not wait for Monday
Colds, flu, throat and ear infections, urinary symptoms, rashes, and other everyday illness, assessed thoroughly, via video.
Sick notes before the week starts
Where clinically warranted, a certificate covering your absence is emailed the same day.
Scripts that ran out
Prescriptions and chronic renewals, where clinically appropriate, sent to you or a pharmacy that is open.
Peace of mind
Sometimes the consult is to find out whether something can wait. A doctor's judgement on a Saturday beats a weekend of worrying.
Outside consulting hours, here is the honest route.
If something feels urgent at night or over the weekend, do not wait for a slot: call 10177 for an ambulance or go to your nearest emergency room. For anything that can safely wait, book the next available slot on the booking page, and email hello@medicusforme.co.za if none of the times work for you.
The fee
One consultation, one fee.
The same flat fee whenever you book. A weekend consultation costs exactly what a Tuesday one does.

Questions
Frequently asked questions.
Does a weekend consultation cost more?+
No. Weekend consultations are the same flat R300 as weekday ones. There are no after-hours surcharges.
Can I see a doctor on a Sunday?+
Sometimes. Saturday mornings are our regular weekend slots, and we open Sunday times from time to time. The booking page shows what is live, so check there. For anything urgent when no slot is available, use emergency services; for anything that can wait, the next weekday slots are usually available.
What about public holidays?+
Availability varies. The booking page always shows live slots, so check there; if a public holiday is open for consultations, you will see the times listed.
Will evening appointments ever be available?+
Possibly, as demand grows. If you need evenings, say so at hello@medicusforme.co.za; the calendar is shaped by exactly that feedback.
How late do Saturday slots run?+
Saturday consultations run in the morning. The booking page shows the exact times currently open, and what you see there is live and bookable.
What if I am ill right now, at night?+
If it feels dangerous, call 10177 or go to an emergency room; an online consultation is not for emergencies. If it can safely wait, book the earliest slot on the booking page and you will usually be seen within days.
