The journey

Booking to inbox, in four steps.

  1. 01 · Pick a slot

Choose a time on the booking page.

Live availability shows every open 20-minute slot, weekdays and Saturday mornings. Same-week appointments are usually available. Pick what suits you; booking takes about a minute.

  2. 02 · Details, consent, payment

A few fields and a secure payment.

Enter your details, read and accept the short consent form, and pay the flat R300 by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, instant EFT or SnapScan. Payment confirms the slot as yours.

  3. 03 · Join the video call

    One link, any browser.

Your confirmation email carries a secure video link, and a reminder with your access PIN arrives ahead of time. At your appointment time, tap the link on any device, phone, tablet or computer, and the call opens in the browser. Nothing to download.

  4. 04 · Documents arrive

    Emailed straight after.

Where clinically appropriate, your prescription, sick note, or referral letter is emailed shortly after the consultation, along with a receipt. Everything you left the call needing, in your inbox.

Before the call

What you need.

A device with a camera and microphone

Any reasonably modern phone, tablet, or computer works.

A stable internet connection

Wi-Fi or mobile data. If the connection drops, the same link lets you rejoin the call.

An email address

Your booking confirmation, video link, PIN, and documents all arrive by email.

A private, quiet spot

It is a real medical consultation. A closed door does wonders.

Your medication or history, if relevant

For renewals or ongoing issues, having your script or medicine boxes at hand speeds things up.

Help

A human reply, usually the same day.

Stuck on a booking, need to reschedule, or unsure whether an online consultation fits your situation? Email hello@medicusforme.co.za and you will get a reply from a person, usually the same day. To move an appointment, simply reply to your confirmation email before your slot.

Everything at Medicus runs over email: confirmations, reminders, documents, and support. One channel, a written trail, and nothing lost on hold.

Emergencies

Medicus is not an emergency service.

If you have chest pain, severe shortness of breath, heavy bleeding, or any symptoms that feel dangerous, call 10177 for an ambulance or go to your nearest emergency room. An online consultation is for care that can safely wait for a scheduled appointment.

The fee

One consultation, one fee.

R300
per consultation, weekday or Saturday

One flat fee covers the consultation and any documents that follow from it, where clinically appropriate.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need to download an app?+

No. The consultation runs in the web browser on any device. You tap the link in your email at the appointment time and the video call opens directly; there is nothing to install and no account to create.

How soon can I get an appointment?+

Same-week appointments are usually available, and often sooner. The booking page shows live availability, so what you see is genuinely bookable.

What happens if my connection drops mid-call?+

Use the same video link to rejoin; the room stays open for your slot. If you cannot get back in, email hello@medicusforme.co.za and the team will sort out the rest of your consultation.

Can a family member or carer join the call?+

Yes. You are welcome to have someone with you, and children are seen with a parent or guardian present. Just introduce anyone in the room so the doctor knows who is participating.

How early should I join?+

A minute or two before your slot is plenty. The reminder email with your link and PIN arrives ahead of time, so everything is ready when you are.

What if the doctor cannot help me online?+

Some conditions need hands-on examination or urgent care. Where that is the case, the doctor will say so during the consultation and refer you to the right in-person care, so you leave with a clear next step rather than a dead end.

How do I reschedule?+

Reply to your confirmation email any time before your appointment and you will be moved to a slot that works. No phone calls, no forms.

Ready when you are.
